
Parade and Festival
The fun begins Saturday, May 2nd, 2026 with a parade through downtown at 1 p.m., followed by a festival at the Lenawee County Fairgrounds. Enjoy live music, delicious food, artisan vendors, and family-friendly entertainment. Join us for a celebration of culture, community, and joy as we honor the legacy of Chico Martinez.

Parade Rules
1. Parade Theme
Chico's Cinco de Mayo Committee has the final approval of all parade entries. If any entries are deemed inappropriate for the family/Cinco de Mayo theme, they will be removed from the parade. (Hate speech, political verbiage, profanity, inappropriate flags/signs will not be allowed.) The committee reserves the right to remove any unit from the line for any reason deemed necessary without advance notice.
2. Candy
Candy can be gently tossed from vehicles or handed out by walkers.
3. Politicians
Only the name of the political party, the politicians and elected position/title are allowed. No political party "messages."
4. Alcohol
No alcohol allowed in the parade or lineup.
5. Lineup
Lineup will be on College Ave (Near ZZs).
6. Animals
Animals are very welcome, but provisions must be made for immediate cleanup.
7. Instructions
Parade units will follow instructions from parade committee volunteers and members of the Adrian Police Department.
